BiographyHistory

Radio broadcaster.

Born in Neutral Bay and educated at North Sydney Girls High School, she joined the staff of the ABC in 1967. She has remained with the broadcaster since, as a radio news presenter, television news presenter, and radio broadcaster. She is especially known for her long-running association with the Mornings program on ABC Classic FM, which she anchored from 1994 to its cancellation in 2017 (after which she continued to present concerts broadcast on the station).

She is the mother of Holly Throsby, a musician who published her debut novel in 2016.
