BiographyHistory

Jean Morton is best known as a television announcer, and is most famous for Tingha and Tucker, the television programme for children featuring two toy koalas which ran from 1962 to 1970. She hosted the show as 'Auntie Jean'. Tingha and Tucker had an annual children's book release from 1967 through to 1971. Several records were released as well, such as the single Woomerang Boomerang (1964) and an LP called the Tingha and Tucker Club Song Book. Tingha's name is a reference to the town of Tingha, New South Wales.
