BiographyHistory

A prolific writer, researcher, and lecturer, Terry Dartnelll was a former Head of Artificial Intelligence in the School of Computing and Information Technology, Griffith University (Brisbane). He received his PhD in Philosophy from Otago, after having completed an MLitt in Philosophy; a postgraduate diploma in Linguistics from Edinburgh; an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from Sussex; and a BA Hons in Philosophy from Bristol. His academic research was in the foundations of Artificial Intelligence and cognitive science, and the related areas of philosophy, as well as in human and machine creativity.

Dartnell's specutalive fiction has appeared in Ideomancer, Oceans of the Mind, Planet, Daikaiju: Giant Monsters, Aphelion and Worlds of Wonder among other publications.
