Kaye Mill was educated at Pilliga Public School, St Dominic's Priory, Tamworth, Armidale Teachers' College and the universities of New England, Armidale, and British Columbia, Canada. She has worked as a teacher and/or a librarian in Australia, England, Alaska and Canada. She was a founding board member of the New England Writers' Centre.
