BiographyHistory

Euphemia Foster was born at Lake Condah Mission. Her father bought an old mission house and moved it to Greenvale, four miles from Heywood, to serve as the family home. Every Sunday Foster attended the mission church and the harvest market where locals would sell their vegetables. In the evening the community would hold a dance and Foster's father, who was a tenor and a piano player, would sing and play.
