Edna Brown moved to Melbourne from Framlingham Mission when she was 15 in 1932 and settled with her family in Fitzroy. She married in 1934 in a Ministers house in Collingwood. Brown was involved in establishing the Funeral Club in the 1970s to help poor Indigenous families raise funds to pay for family funerals.
