BiographyHistory

Merve Bundle ran away from his home in Wallaga Lake Mission, New South Wales to Bega, New South Wales and enlisted in the Army in 1942, at the beginning of World War Two. Bundle trained as a spotter and was dropped with his unit behind enemy lines in Papua New Guinea to gather information about Japanese troop movements in the Islands. After the war, Bundle became active in Aboriginal community affairs.
