'Don Angel (Wayne Hope) is a small-business man - the backbone of this great country's economy. But if that's true, it's no thanks to him. After numerous unsuccessful business ventures, Don's World Wide Business Group is now hurtling towards liquidation.

'To give the impression of a much grander business than what he's got, Don sells the advertising space in his five magazines under different aliases. He can sell the ads, he just can't write the articles. So he hires Ray Leonard (Kim Gyngell) as his sole journalist.

'Taking his first tentative steps back into the workplace after a six-year battle with depression, Ray enters a world totally alien to him. He's come from being a noted social commentator for the Australian to writing advertorial for 'Wilson's Woodwind and Brass' Autumn Sale - which might just be his cure.

'But Don's debts are mounting - he has the bank on his back and a posse of disgruntled small businesses at his door. His wife has left him, and not only does she want to take him for all she can she also expects him to actually spend time with his two kids. To make matters worse, he's just been diagnosed with a nasty case of Irritable Bowel Syndrome, which it seems no medication can cure. '

'Jack Kempson started out as an idealistic cop. Thirty years on, he remains relentless in tracking down villains, but has lost confidence in his moral barometer. He turns a blind eye to the dubious methods employed by some of his contemporaries — prepared to let dodgy means be justified by the noble end.

'The police brotherhood has allowed him to survive all the crap that happens to him in his private life.

'But something is shifting in Jack and, when a quantity of drugs signed out in his name goes missing, Jack smells a rat and becomes a whistle blower — he just can’t accept the corruption anymore.

'This is his first big mistake, because the department turns its back on him, banishing him to the purgatory of supervising data entry into a new computerised crime tracking system. He is sent to rot in the basement.'

'Accident prone and full of himself Welcher QC, played by Shaun Micallef, is a partner in a small law firm. Sadly QC are his initials - the closest he will ever get to being a Queen's Counsel. A comedy about the relationships we all have at home and in the office, with some great physical comedy from the country's top comic.'
