BiographyHistory

US-based gay and lesbian publishing house. Established in 2003 to provide a publishing platform for authors Shawn Clements and Lorna Hinson (who were struggling to place male-male romances in mainstream publishing houses), Torquere Press grew into an established publisher of LGBT romances. In 2007, Clements and Hinson launched the Prizm Young Adult line, focusing on the experiences of LGBT teenagers. In 2013, they sold the publishing company to Kristi Boulware and Joanna Talbot. Torquere Press closed in late 2016.
