Sandra Holzer is from country NSW. She met her Hugarian-born husband in Bathurst, NSW, in 1964 when she was a trainee nurse and he was a recently arrived migrant. Through the 1960s and 70s they were involved with the Hungarian community in Sydney, taking part in cultural events and attending Hungarian festivals in Adelaide and Melbourne. They have travelled in Hungary, first in 1979, again in the 1990s, for extended visits. Holzer says she is 'proud to be an honorary Hungarian citizen and a member of Australia's multicultural community.' [Source:
