Chinese writer Li Tiejun was born in Shandong province, China, and worked as a journalist in the city of Tianjin. She self-published Chenmo yu xuanhua de shijie (Quiet in a Tumultuous World) (2001) and Dahai yu huayuan (Ocean and Garden) (2005). Australian poet Simon Patton (q.v.) translated poetry by Li Tiejun written under her pseudonym Jun'er.
