BiographyHistory

Frederick Harris came to South Australia on the ship Recovery. He was associated with the pastoralist and farmer Dr Charles Everard at Ashford and Myponga before working with his father in his horticultural business at Marden. For the last fifty years of his life he lived in Walkerville, South Australia. He had a keen interest in public affairs, belonged to the Order of Rechabites and was one of the leading singers in the Philharmonic Society of Adelaide.
