BiographyHistory

Born at Karonie, a siding just east of Kalgoorlie, Heather Vicenti is a Wongatha woman. A member of the Stolen Generations, Vicenti writes from the heart of her first-hand experience of being forcibly removed from traditional lands and culture. A mother, grandmother, community activist and author, Vicenti draws on emotional expressionism, humour and knowledge when writing on the subject of 'life under the control of the authorities'.
