Eunice Wright was removed from her family at the age of ten years and was sent to Heywood Police Station Royal Park Receiving Centre then onto Ballarat Orphanage. In the early 1960s, Wright left the Orphanage and was reunited with her mother. Wright has worked as a child care officer.
Wright's story was recorded by the National Library for the Bringing Them Home oral history project and appeared in the associated publication Many Voices: Reflections on experiences of Indigenous child separation edited by Doreen Mellor and Anna Haebich (2002).
