BiographyHistory

Cedric Jacobs was removed from his family at nine years of age 'under arrest' along with his two brothers and was sent to Mogumber Mission. His father argued unsuccessfully for the children's return in the courts. Jacobs has worked as a Methodist minister and an ATSIC commissioner.

Jacobs' story was recorded by the National Library for an oral history project and appeared in the associated publication Many Voices: Reflections on experiences of Indigenous child separation edited by Doreen Mellor and Anna Haebich (2002).
