Carl Cleves graduated in Law Studies before being offered a scholarship to study traditional African music. This initial foray into ethnomusicology led to a life long study of world music that has taken Cleves to many countries. He is also an award-winning musician and songwriter.
Cleves settled in Bryon Bay, New South Wales, when he migrated to Australia.
