BiographyHistory

Waleed Aly attended Wesley College, Melbourne before completing a combined law-engineering degree. He has worked as a judge's associate with the Family Court of Victoria and has contributed articles to Australian newspapers and journals. Aly's first book, People Like Us, was published in 2007. He was shortlisted for the 2010 Alfred Deakin Prize for an Essay Advancing Public Debate, Victorian Premier's Awards, for 'Patriot Acts' which was published in the Monthly.
