BiographyHistory

Roy Masters was a schoolteacher and coached first grade rugby league for ten consecutive seasons between 1978 and 1987. He was voted Coach of the Year three times. Since leaving coaching Masters has been a senior journalist with the Sydney Morning Herald and a radio and television sports commentator. He is also an inaugural member of the Board of the Australian Sports Commission and started Aussie Sports, a program designed for primary school children. Masters is the author of the bestselling book, Inside League (1990).
