A long-time fan of crime fiction, Liz Cameron was a key supporter of Sisters in Crime in the early stages of the organisation, including transcribing tapes of events for the organisation's newsletter. A keen writer of short crime fiction, she was commended for multiple works in the Scarlet Stiletto Awards.
Liz Cameron also worked as matron at Tintern Girls' Grammar.
She is the mother of Lindy Cameron and Fin J. Ross.
