BiographyHistory

William Siebenhaar matriculated from Delft University, Holland, in 1882. In 1884 he became a teacher in England. On his arrival in Western Australia he joined the staff of Perth High School and then, in 1895, moved to the public service as sub-editor of the Western Australian Year Book. Later, he became Registrar-General and Government Statistician. He met D. H. Lawrence (q.v.) in Western Australia and later corresponded with him.
