BiographyHistory

Arthur Leslie Bourcicault was the proprietor of The Daily News, Melbourne, before establishing The Northern Argus in Rockhampton in January 1863. In late 1880 or early 1881 he sold The Daily Northern Argus to P. F. MacDonald, and from 1 July became the proprietor of The Gympie Miner.
