BiographyHistory

Vlasis Mauraganis was born in Mana of Korinthia, Greece. He has studied Political Sciences in Panteios University, Greece. He arrived in Australia in 1969 and from 1970 he taught Greek in the Community Schools of Richmond. He and his wife are the founders of Mauraganis Schools. Since 1973 he has worked in the Governmental School System of Victoria. In 1996 he was honoured by the Hellenic Association for his services to Education. He has written poetry and short stories since 1960.
