BiographyHistory

Shelley Reys is an Aboriginal woman of the Djiribul people and has held the position of Managing Director of Arrilla - Aboriginal Training and Development consultancy for many years. In 2012 her positions included Vice-Chairman of the National Australia Day Council and Director of Indigenous Film Services.

Previously she was a Board member and Vice-Chairman of The Fred Hollows Foundation until 2007, and New South Wales Coordinator for the Council for Aboriginal Reconciliation and worked with reconciliation's 'people's movement' 1991 - 2000. From 1998 - 1999 she was Indigenous Adviser to the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (SOCOG) and the Olympic Coordination Authority (OCA).

In 2010, Reys resigned as a Director of the Board of Reconciliation Australia after a decade in the position.
