BiographyHistory

Mark Blackman is a Badtjala and Gubbi Gubbi man. Blackman left school at the age of 14 to help his dad working on the cane fields. When he was 16, he started a carpentry apprenticeship. Blackman worked as a carpenter for fifteen years before changing his career to be an artist. His artwork has given him the opportunity to travel the world, having art exhibitions in South Africa, Belfast, South Korea and many other countries.
