BiographyHistory

F. Thomas Rayner was the pioneer of the newspaper press in Bowen, Queensland. He published and edited The Port Denison Times and Kennedy District Advertiser from 5 March 1864 until his death in 1900.

Rayner died intestate, and the goodwill and property of the Advertiser was auctioned on 25 August 1900.
