BiographyHistory

British author Tom Bevan (1868-1938), who also wrote under the pseudonym Walter Bamfylde, published more than fifty adventure novels, historical novels and school stories. One of his novels is included in Austlit because of its Australian setting and because it is listed in Australian Children's Books by Marcie Muir and Kerry White (Melbourne: Melbourne University Press, 1992-2004). Some of Bevan's work was serialised in Australian newspapers and magazines.
