Woolshed Press, a Random House Australia children's imprint, was launched on 9 April 2008 in North Sydney by Linsay Knight, Random's Head of Children's Books.

'The imprint name represents a continuation of the pioneering Australian spirit of producing world-class products drawn from the local cultural landscape. The logo also links this uniquely Australian imprint to the globally recognised Random House brand.... Woolshed Press will publish six titles in 2008 and twelve per year thereafter, concentrating on one-off titles to showcase the best of Australian storytelling for children and young people of all ages.'
