BiographyHistory

Elva Dawn Russell, nee Freeman, was born at Cowra in 1945. Her mother was Minnie Eileen Freeman from Gooloogong and her father was Ernest 'Ned' Joseph Freeman. Elva and her sister, Sonia, were in the newspaper for singing "A White Sports Coat" and "I'm a Little Rag Doll" at the Aboriginal concerts held at the mission.
