BiographyHistory

June Smith was born at Enngonia in 1948. Her father was Reg Smith and her mother was Alice Smith, nee Edward. In 1992 Smith was one of the women who started a women's refuge in Bourke. She has written poems about Aboriginal people's concerns, especially domestic violence.
