BiographyHistory

Glenda Carpenter Smith was born in Moruya in 1957. Her father worked at the Bodalla saw mill and her mother did seasonal work picking beans. Smith attended Bodalla Primary School and in the afternoons would pick beans with her mother. Smith went to high school in Moruya. After her children were born, Smith started working with the Home Care service looking after Elders.
