BiographyHistory

Zachary Barry was an evangelical Church of England clergyman. In Sydney he became a leading Orange organiser and was at one point editor of the militant anti-Catholic newspaper the Protestant Standard. Barry was one of a number of sectarian figures satirised in Henry Kendall's poem 'A Psalm for the Conventicle'.
