Lily Rose Tope has taught in the Department of English and Comparative Literature, University of the Philippines. Her published work includes (Un)Framing Southeast Asia: Nationalism and the Post Colonial Text in English in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines (1998) and various articles on Southeast Asian literatures in English.
