BiographyHistory

William (Billy) Cox was the white station owner of Lousia Downs Station in the 1890s. He had two sons, Davey and Freddie, with Aboriginal women on Noonkanbah station. He also owned Koongie Station, later known as the Palatine Mission. Billy died at the age of forty-six, and as his children were classified 'half-caste' the government did not allow them to inherit the station which was later sold to Randall Stafford.
