Paul Cremen's mother grew up in an orphanage after her mother's death. Cremen and his mother were left with very little knowledge of their Aboriginality. After his mother's death, Cremen contacted the Link-Up organisation. Through this he discovered family members and living at Murrin Bridge Aboriginal Settlement and went to visit them. Cremen has worked for Shoalhaven Shire Council.
