BiographyHistory

Trevor Parker was born on Mount Florence Station; his birthdate is unknown. Parker's mother is of the Ngarluma people and his father is of the Yindjibarndi people. According to traditional Aboriginal law he would be Ngarluma, but due to Government policies tribal law was disrupted. Parker was raised by his stepfather Slim Parker according to Punjima law. As a young child, Parker's parents hid him in the scrub and he did not go to school until he was thirteen because his parents feared feared he would be taken away by the Native Welfare. Since the age of twelve Trevor has worked on cattle stations doing fencing and other jobs and has also worked in a garage and as a taxi driver.

Parker has been active in the Karijini Aboriginal Corporation.
