BiographyHistory

Henry Long was born on the top end of the Shaw River near Hillside Station, not far from Marble Bar. Long's mother was Lucy (Nhuthabah) and his father was Bahbinah from Nymbiliyundah country. Long had two brothers and a sister. He never went to school, but was taught his culture and bush life from a young age. He worked on stations all his life and worked around Bamboo Springs; this is where he went through law.
