Rosie Nungarrayi is a Lander Warlpiri woman who grew up in the Lander River area of what became Willowra station. She remembers the Coniston Massacre in which many Indigenous people were killed in retaliation for the assault of a white station owner who would not return an Indigenous woman he had abducted.
