BiographyHistory

Howard Rubie began work in the media industry at the age of sixteen when he took up a position at Kingcroft Studios before moving on to Cinesound. In the 1980s, Rubie was involved with course design for the Australian Film Television and Radio School and he was a board member of the Australian Directors Guild.

Rubie's work as a filmaker was recognised in Australia and internationally, including his 2010 admission into the Australian Society of Cinematographers' Hall of Fame.
