BiographyHistory

Rudolph Nureyev was a highly acclaimed Russain ballet dancer. He defected from the Soviet Union in 1961 while on tour with the Kirov. Nureyev continued to build his career with the Royal Ballet (often dancing in partnership with Dame Margot Fonteyn) and with the Paris Opera.
