On May 14, 2004 Mary Donaldson married Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark in Copenhagen Cathedral, becoming Crown Princess Mary of Denmark. In 2024, on the abdication of her mother-in-law, Queen Margrethe II, she became Queen of Denmark.
