Sutcliffe also wrote poetry which was published in broadsheet form: a eulogy in verse, In Memory of the Late Rev. Wm. Hill: Who was Killed by a Convict (Ritson) while Administering the Solaces of the Gospel to him, at Pentridge Stockade, on 13th May, 1869; Superior and Inferior (1876?) ; and Wreck of the Loch Ard (ca 1878).
