BiographyHistory

Joanne Fedler is a full-time writer and mother, former law teacher and advocate for women's rights. She has law degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa and from Yale University where she studied with the support of a Fulbright scholarship. In 1993 and 1994 she lectured in law at the University of the Witwatersrand and in 1997 she founded the Tshwaranang Legal Advocacy Centre. Fedler migrated to Sydney with her family in 2002. She is the author of numerous books, both fiction and non-fiction.
