BiographyHistory

Quinton Colbung is from the community of Mt Barker in the Great Southern region of Western Austalia. His parents were Reginald Colbung and Maisie Krakouer and he was the ninth of eleven children. He lived as a child at Windy Hill and Bummer's Square, Aboriginal camping grounds. The family travelled around from time to time clearing land and when Quinton was seven they moved to the Mt Barker reserve. He met his wife Jennifer in 1977 and they had seven children.
