BiographyHistory

Treasy Woods is an Elder from the South West of Western Australia. She was born in a traditional Noongar bush birth and at a young age was taught to collect bush foods and medicines. Treasy is the sister of Leonard (Jack) Williams and Lily Averil Dean (qq.v.) and Lancel Williams (q.v.). She married Ivor Woods at the Tambellup Methodist Church in 1959. Treasy has been a freelance cultural teacher and consultant in Noongar cultural history and has taught at the Great Southern Regional College of TAFE in Albany.
