BiographyHistory

Violet Bacon is a Yamaji woman who has been involved in social work and social justice issues for many years. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Curtin University of Technology and was the first Indigenous lecturer appointed in the discipline of Social Work and Social Policy at the University of Western Australia. Violet Bacon has more than ten years extensive experience at the WA Alcohol and Drug Authority, including counselling, drug education awareness, skill training workshops, seminars and presentations to Indigenous workers.
