BiographyHistory

A. E. Speers was a Private in the 2nd Western Australian Mounted Infantry contingent in the Boer War. He was severely wounded at Vet River 05/05/1900, and was mentioned in despatches 02/04/1901. Speers married Mary E. Cunninghame of an old Norwood (South Australia) pioneering family in 1894 and they moved to Adelaide in 1908.
