BiographyHistory

Pomian wrote her selected work Gifts and Sorrows during her stay in Australia, though it was published after she returned to France. In 1995, when she wrote the 'Afterword' for the book, she held Australian and French passports. In this 'Afterword' she describes how the contents of the work were inspired by her sense of exile while in Australia. Pomian's poetry and short stories have appeared in Australian anthologies. She is a practising artist and has exhibited at the old Powell Street Gallery, Melbourne and also in Paris. Pomian co-authored a play 'Landscapes of a Life' with Graham Henderson.
