BiographyHistory

Frances Maccaulay Forde is a screenwriter and poet, children’s author, producer and director (in both film and youth theatre).

She has been a member of the Peer Assessment Panel for the Department of Culture and the Art and co-moderator of the Australian Writers' Guild On-line Writers Group, judge for the Western Australia Screen Awards, the Australian Film Institute Awards and the AWGIES.

Frances hosted and organised Poets Corner at Pages Cafe in the State Library, Perth for three years between 2005-08. She is a full member of the Australian Writers' Guild and the Australian Society of Authors, FAWWA, Australian Film Institute, and the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators.

She is one of 80 Cafe Poets who took part in the Australian Poetry project.
