BiographyHistory

Mihriban Astare came to Australia from Turkey in 1974. She has worked in factories, as a volunteer in the Turkish and Kurdish communities, and in a women's refuge. She has begun to study for a Bachelor of Social Science at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. [Source: Fire, Snow and Honey, p. 111]
