BiographyHistory

Lady Sonia McMahon was an 'occupational therapist and well-known figure in Sydney social circles when she married William McMahon in 1965'. (Sir William would later become prime minister of Australia from 1971-1972.) Lady Sonia has been an active worker in charitable organisations including the National Brain Foundation, the Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation, the Australian Cancer Research Foundation, the Microsearch Foundation and Australia's Sudden Infant Death Syndrome association.
